Teach the whole lesson in one browser tab

Open a scheduled lesson and click Join classroom. Everything runs in the browser: video, shared lesson pages, the Space canvas, library lessons, speaking games and your AI assistant. There is nothing to download.

No. Students sign in to their free Tuton account and join from the browser, or from the iPhone app. You add them with an email invite or a 6-character code. A computer gives the best experience for the canvas and games.

No. A lesson is recorded, audio only, when its AI lesson report is on and your report hours cover the whole lesson. Reports are on by default on Plus and Pro, and on every plan while your first 2 free report hours last. You can switch the report off for one lesson in the classroom lobby, for a student on their profile, or for all your lessons; switching it off for all your lessons beats a student's own switch. Students can also choose not to be recorded in their settings: that choice is binding, and you are told when they make it. With the report off, nothing is recorded.

Zoom and Google Meet are general video tools. Tuton's classroom is built for language lessons: shared pages update as you both type, a word you teach can go straight into your student's review deck, the AI assistant knows your student's level and history, and when you switch it on, the lesson is written up as a report afterwards. No screen sharing or switching between apps.

Yes. The AI assistant sits in the classroom side panel during any live lesson, and only you see it. Ask it for grammar explanations, example sentences, vocabulary ideas or a quick activity, and it answers with your student's level and history in mind.

Yes. The Space is one of the classroom's views: an infinite shared canvas for notes, drawings, photos, videos, PDFs and vocabulary cards, with live cursors for both of you.

Yes. The classroom has eleven speaking activities built for language lessons, including Story Bubbles, Question Wheel, Describe It, Would You Rather and Tongue Twisters. You start one and you both play it in real time, next to the video. No screen sharing needed.

There's no 40-minute cutoff. A lesson runs as long as you need, up to 3 hours. The free trial includes 20 classroom hours, and paid plans include a monthly allowance on fair use.
