Run your own tutoring business. Two plans, no surprises.

After a lesson, Tuton writes it up for you: what you covered, what the student did well, the mistakes worth fixing with corrections, the new words, and what to work on next. To do that it records the lesson audio and transcribes it. A report hour is one hour of lessons written up this way, counted on lesson time, so a 45-minute lesson uses 45 minutes. Your first 2 report hours are free, once per account, trial included. If you're on Pro, or you've bought report hours, your students can read their reports too.

Lessons carry on as normal, but they aren't written up until you add more hours. On any paid plan, top up from your billing page at $1.20 a report hour; top-up hours never expire and are used after your plan's hours. A lesson is only written up if your hours cover all of it, and nothing is ever added to your bill unless you choose it.

Three limits: classroom hours a month (20 on Starter and 80 on Pro), how many hours of lessons Tuton writes an AI report for (pay as you go on Starter, 80 on Pro), and how many active students you can teach (25 on Starter and 200 on Pro). Printable lesson plans are on Pro, and on Pro your students can read their own lesson reports. Plans differ in classroom hours, report hours and students, plus a few extras listed on each card. Every plan includes the live classroom, the Space, the 850+ lesson library, every game, your public page with booking, scheduling and invoicing, homework, the vocabulary tracker and the student app. The 30-minute support call is open to every tutor, free trial included.

A student you're teaching now: one marked Active or Trial. New enquiries, paused students and archived students don't count, so your whole history can stay in Tuton. Archive a student and their place frees up straight away.

Yes. To change plan, open Settings > Billing. If the plan buttons are not available yet, use Manage billing or email support and we will do it for you. A new plan starts straight away, at the new plan's price, and before you switch we show the new price. Moving between Starter and Pro changes your price; Pro is $29 a month either way. If you subscribed in the iPhone app, change plan in your Apple ID subscriptions instead.

No. Classroom hours and report hours start again on your billing date, and neither carries over. Report hours you top up never expire.

Yes. You get 7 days free, and we never ask for a card. Teach real lessons with up to 25 active students and 20 classroom hours, publish your booking page and take bookings, try the Space, the AI assistant and the AI makers, get your first 2 hours of AI lesson reports free, and open the first lesson of every library course plus the In the News lessons. The full 850+ lesson library comes with any paid plan.

Nothing is charged, because we never asked for your card. To keep teaching on Tuton, choose a plan. If you don't, nothing is deleted: your students, lessons and notes stay in your account for when you do. Until then your booking page is hidden, your students can see their past lessons but can't book new ones, and you keep the free lesson plans, the first lesson of every library course and three free games.

Plans bought on the web are billed in US dollars at the start of each billing cycle. Yearly billing charges 10 months for 12, so 2 months are free. Cancel anytime and your access continues until the end of the paid period.

Yes. The School plan is for language schools and tutoring centres: group classes and 1:1 lessons, attendance, courses, marking against your own rubrics with AI drafts, a public school page for enrolments, and AI lesson-report hours shared across your teachers, with no student cap. Schools are set up with the Tuton team and priced on your team rather than per seat, so tell us about your school at tuton.io/schools and we'll come back with a quote.
