Every city has one building that everybody knows. Maybe it is old. Maybe it is very tall. Maybe it is only a small church on a hill. People say: meet me there. That building is a landmark. A landmark is easy to find. You can see it from far away, or it stands on a big square in the centre. Children draw it at school. Visitors take a photo of it and send it home. But a landmark is not always beautiful. Some are grey. Some look like a big box. People still love them, because the city feels normal with them and strange without them.
